BU selected to receive two awards are highly coveted in the world of higher education, namely Britain awards - the 2009 Times Higher Education (THE) for 'University of the Year' and 'Research Project of the Year'.
In December 2008, BU was awarded the highest category of confidence in maintaining academic standards and quality improvement by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA).
In 2009, the Journal Science - Journal of Science, one of the highest-rated research publications in the world, has published three papers prepared jointly by academics BU. Three leading professors from BU for the first time jointly wrote a paper that became the benchmark in the field of Science.
In the Research Assessment Exercise (2008) to date, we are the fourth university which showed the highest increase in the UK in terms of research quality. Of ten subjects were assessed areas, eight areas of research highlight that rated world-leading quality.
